Bithja Moor contemporary art
Olympic Ideals, 24 July - 15 August 2009,
Battle Library, Reading, UK
The 2012 London Olympics is accompanied by the Cultural Olympiad, and Reading Opens Up invited artists to participate by responding to words reflecting the Olympic and Paralympic values. Arjeea21 is showing some of these reponses in the newly restored Battle Library. Built in 1908 as the first Carnegie Library in Reading, it is a grade two listed building that served as a hospital in WW1 and an air-raid depot in WW2. It continues to serve the community in many ways - sometimes quiet and serene, and sometimes bursting with activities and people of all ages.

May be 30th April - 3rd May, St Andrew’s Church, Caversham

Following the success of last year’s art exhibition full of beans the three local artists and members of St. Andrew’s have invited three more to put on a second exciting show at
St. Andrew’s Church in Caversham Heights.
Just like last year’s family event on the May Day Bank Holiday weekend this is a contemporary art exhibition in a religious space, and not a religious art exhibition. However the space of the church does provide a very special and reflective setting in which to share some thoughts about art and about life.
